With the current market situation and immersed in a crisis of global proportions, the competitiveness of business is accentuating as solutions are sought. Product ranges need to be diversified in order to present a more attractive portfolio with respect to clients, avoid an excessive accumulation of stocks and waste, and reduce expenses while optimising processes. For these reasons we at Alzamora are promoting Lean Manufacturing (Continuous Improvement), in order to increase the efficiency of our management.
Lean Manufacturing is a concept which was first applied in Japan. It consists of a daily activity which goes beyond the simple improvement of productivity. It seeks, when applied correctly, to make the workplace into a more humane place, eliminating the overlapping of work, showing people how to innovate and improve products and processes and finally, to learn how to detect and eliminate wastes.
According to this business philosophy, everyone in the company must be involved, from top level management to external suppliers, and including each and every one of the employees. The sum of small improvements is that which provides companies with significant improvements.
Alzamora Packaging is applying the tools of Lean Manufacturing in order to improve its efficacy. Our aim is to increase client satisfaction by reducing delivery times, improving the communications flow and improving product results. We are achieving these improvements thanks to each and every one of our employees, who get involved in a process of continual evaluation and implication.
